he
career of Franco Dreon begins when he's still young and he starts
working for Ronchetti, the most renowned tailor of Brescia.
After some years of "workshop", having learned
the trade, he started to work by himself acquiring very soon a
group of very good customers. In the meantime he participates
to a high number of fashion-show and competitions, classifying
himself always brilliantly, until 1987 when he won the famous
"Golden Thimble".
He reached the top of his career in 1990 winning
the most desired national trophy: the prestigious "Golden Scissors"
and becoming member of the "National Tailor's Academy",
the most ancient and selected corporation of tailor masters, founded
in the far 1575 by pope Gregorio XIII.
The great passion for his job characterized
the whole life of Franco Dreon who, being grown up in the classic
artisan workshop bound to the sartorial tradition, always refused
technological innovation for cut and confection of the suite that
must rigorously be handmade.
This, however, did not interfere with the
willingness to improve and update the cut and the line of his
production. From here the taste of the "Handmade", the
accuracy for peculiarity, the thoroughness of the finishes. All
this joined to the perfection of "appiombo" and to the great dressability
is the winning point of a suit signed Franco Dreon.
Today Franco Dreon continues to create his
models with his typical great passion in the atelier of Brescia
.
